LabVIEW
Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW), is a platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments. LabVIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, instrument control, and industrial automation on a variety of platforms including Microsoft Windows, various flavours of UNIX, Linux, and Mac OS X. The latest version of LabVIEW is version LabVIEW 2010, released in August 2010. Within CABER to date, LabVIEW has been used for mechanical system control, data acquisition and has the potential for experimental image analysis.
