Attend the Careers Seminar for your course of study in Week 2 or 3 during the
October Careersfest. This will provide an overview of career opportunities for all UL courses.
For help preparing your job applications, attend the seminar, ‘Effective
Applications,’ on the 9th of October.
Call to the Careers Service (E0019) to collect information on how to prepare a CV. If you already have a CV, update it with your most recent and relevant details. Check the
Applications & Interviews section of the careers website for lots of useful advice.
Attend the session on ‘Preparing for the Fair’ on the 12th October for tips on how to make the most of this opportunity.
Book a slot to have your CV professionally checked during the lunch-time
CV Review sessions in E0019 during the week beginning October 9th.
Read this publication carefully for details of the companies attending the Careers Fair and make note of those that interest you.
Don’t forget to attend the Careers Fair on Wednesday, 18th of October in the
Sports Arena. This is your chance to meet employers in person.
Take a number of copies of your CV to the Careers Fair
with you. Hand them into companies that interest you and make note of any contact you make on the day.
Check the Careers Website regularly for the most up to date
Calendar of Careers Events. Remember that the website is the main source of careers information.
Make note of the Alternative Careers & Volunteering Fair which will be held on campus on the 7th March 2007, and the
Teaching Fair which takes place on the 28th March.
If you’re interested in Postgraduate Study, attend the seminar on
Planning for Postgraduate Study on November 13th and come along to the
Postgraduate Study Fair on February 21st.
