    Excellent resource that contains vacancies, job descriptions, employer information.
  • Careers4graduates - www.careers4graduates.org
    New careers website for Irish graduates; particularly useful for mature graduates.
  • Department of Education & Science - www.education.ie
    (-learners & trainees- mature students): this is an excellent source of information for anyone considering applying to college as a mature student. It includes:
    • Info on the Back to Education Allowance - Third Level maintenance scheme for trainees
    • A 130 page Guide for Mature Students which you can download
  • The Central Applications Office (CAO) - www.cao.ie has an online handbook, which describes the process for submitting applications. In the Applicant Information section of the homepage, click 'CAO Handbook'. In the General Information section, click the link that reads 'Applications to be made direct to HEIs'. Information for mature students can be found in section D.
  • Aontas - The National Association of Adult Education in Ireland
    www.aontas.com - provides an information referral service to adult learners.
  • Nightcourses - www.nightcourses.com - an online directory of evening, weekend and distance learning classes all over Ireland.
  • Oscail – The National Distance Education Centre of Ireland - www.oscail.ie 
    Oscail has a national remit to provide distance education programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level in cooperation with the universities and other institutions of higher education. Oscail has programmes in the humanities and social sciences, information technology and nursing; and at post graduate level in management and information systems.
