Inclusion
Career support for students with disabilities
The objective of this website is to address the diverse needs of students with disabilities across all stages of career planning. The Careers Service acknowledges that 'students with disabilities' are not a homogenous group. Disability is unique to the experience of each individual student.
However, to promote more diverse and inclusive information over a wide range of career related topics there is some categorisation of types of disabilities. Nevertheless, I hope you find the following informative and helpful.
One of the special features of this website is the fact that the text is accompanied by voice-over for the Mental Health and Learning Difficulties sections, so that users can hear as well read the information.
Current resources in the Careers Support Area include a directory on the supports that are available to graduates with disabilities who are seeking employment, and a report on the employment experiences of UL graduates with disabilities (pdf).
