Inclusion
Career support for students with disabilities

How Do I get involved in the Employer Mentoring program?

The employer mentoring program is designed for students with disabilities including learning disabilities. Mentors are employers who volunteer their time to provide you with an insight into their jobs. They provide information, support and encouragement.

If selected for the program you will be offered the opportunity to:

  • Be matched with a mentor linked to your specific career interests
  • Gain inside knowledge of your chosen field
  • Participate in three job-search workshops on applications and interviews
  • Access useful professional networks

You should meet with a Careers Advisor to discuss the Employer Mentoring program in detail and decide what it can offer you. Application material is available on-line.

Students with disabilities should have early and frequent contact with the Careers Service. The Careers Support Service was set up to address the individual and diverse needs of students with disabilities. Click on Career Appointments to arrange a meeting.
