Every year, about 30% of UL students take the plunge and do an international placement. The main destinations are the US, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, the UK, the Isle of Man and South America.
An international CoOp offers you all the advantages of a regular CoOp, and also gives you the opportunity to "see the world" and experience other cultures and work environments. It is also the best way of becoming fluent in a language. For lots of students, international CoOp has provided a chance to "do something different"; skiing, mountain climbing, playing for the Frankfurt hurling team! What's more, an international CoOp is an interesting addition to your CV, and can give you a competitive advantage when you're applying for graduate jobs.
