Visit the Farmer’s Market

Day: Every Tuesday
Time: 12pm to 5.30pm
Venue: Students Union Courtyard

EVERY Tuesday, the University of Limerick hosts its very own Farmers Market. The market is located in the Students’ Union Courtyard and is open from noon to 5.30pm every Tuesday afternoon.

Lovely Veg!

This initiative is part of a broader movement to encourage ethical consumption and sustainable development within the university.

There are many reasons to buy and consume local food:

  • It supports local farmers and food producers
  • It makes a positive impact on the environment and helps reduce “food miles”

Furthermore, many people believe that seasonable, local food tastes better and has a positive impact on health.

Local Baker

The UL Farmers Market is an important initiative and one that needs your support. The range of local produce available includes: conservation beef and lamb from the Burren, organic meat and fish, breads and pastries from Nenagh, home made chocolate, and salads from East Clare.

This market allows the campus community to buy local produce and to meet with regional food producers.

Do come along and support the UL Farmers Market.
