There are many learning supports available to UL students. For example, Sulis is a learning management system designed to help lecturers, tutors and students have spaces (web sites) for collaboration, communication, teaching and learning. There are five learning support centres on the UL campus; The Mathematics Learning Centre, The ICT Learning Centre, The Science Learning Centre, The Language Support Unit and The Writing Centre.
These drop-in centres are designed to assist students who need extra support in certain areas of their learning. They provide one-to-one and small group tutoring, as well as online learning tutorials and revision sessions.

UL has computer labs in buildings all over the campus, so you are never far from access to a PC. We even have a 24 hour computer lab! All of our computer labs have high speed broadband access through the UL network.
Our language support unit has excellent facilities for viewing films and listening to recordings.

The Cooperative Education programme is one of the most exciting features of degree programmes at the University of Limerick. The programme involves placing students in employment relevant to their degree for six or eight months during their undergraduate studies.
Undertaking a Cooperative Education placement is an integral part of the academic programme and students must successfully complete their placement in order to graduate.
