The Payroll Office is responsible for the timely and accurate payment
of the monthly salaries for all UL PAYE staff. It is also responsible
for the payment of Monthly Postgraduate Stipends.
The office is located in A2 029 in the Main Building. The
Payroll Office manages all statutory and voluntary deductions and submits all
returns to the individual organisations each month. This includes responsibility
for PAYE/PRSI returns, VHI payments, Union Subscriptions etc.
The Payroll Office is opened during
normal University hours - 09.00 to 13.00 and 14.15 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.

- Maintenance
of individual staff payroll records
- Payment
of wages and salaries of casual, part-time, permanent and contract
staff.
- Accounting
for and remittance of tax and PRSI deductions to the Inspector of
Taxes.
- Ensuring
compliance with Revenue and Social Welfare regulations.
- Liaising
with the Revenue Commissioners and the Department of Social and Family
Affairs in relation to University staff.
- Dealing
with staff queries relating to PAYE and PRSI.
- Applying
voluntary deductions from pay e.g. V.H.I. Income Continuance, Union
Subscriptions, Staff Club membership etc.
- Payment
of Scholarships to Postgraduate Research Students.

of year-end P60s
