Dr Magennis previously held Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships at University College, Dublin, and Queen’s University, Belfast. She is the author of Sons of Ulster: Masculinities in Contemporary Irish Fiction (Peter Lang, 2010) and the co-editor of Irish Masculinities: Critical Reflections in Literature and Culture (IAP, 2011), as well as several journal articles and book essays. Her research interests are contemporary literature, Northern Irish literature and culture, Irish fiction and critical theory.
