The Earl of Dunraven Papers
Landed estate papers deriving from
the Wyndham-Quin family (Earls of Dunraven) of Adare Manor, Adare,
Co. Limerick. Included in the collection are the papers of Thady,
Valentine and Windham Quin; papers of the 1st Earl of
Dunraven, Valentine Richard Quin; papers of the 2nd Earl
of Dunraven, Windham Wyndham-Quin; diaries and correspondence of the
Wyndham family;

Earl of Dunraven, Edwin Wyndham-Quin, and his wife, Augusta Goold;
papers of the 4th Earl of Dunraven, Windham Thomas
Wyndham-Quin; papers of the 5th Earl of Dunraven, Colonel
W. H. Wyndham-Quin, including letters from W.T. Cosgrave; papers on
archaeology, antiquarianism and genealogy such as letters to Dr.
George Petrie the famous antiquary; architectural and building
papers concerning the construction of Adare Manor; estate and
financial papers including title deeds, leases, surveys, rentals,
and accounts related to Co. Limerick property; miscellaneous
documents relating to other members of the family; papers relating
to Glamorganshire; autograph album and scrapbooks containing
material collected by Caroline, countess of Dunraven; and formal and
official documents conferring offices and dignities on members of
the Dunraven family. Some visual material on architecture and
building has been retained by Lord and Lady Dunraven.
