Advantages of using BibTeX when creating LaTeX documents:
- Automatic ordering and numbering of citations, unused references are not listed
- One database can be used for many documents, independent of the reference style required for a particular journal
- The reference style can be easily change (journals often provide their own BibTeX style file *.bst)
- Can contain paper abstracts (if you are looking for a keyword)
- This script allows to convert an entry from the Web of Knowledge into a BibTeX item (will do 95% of the job).
- It is also possible to convert BibTeX entries to various formats.
Our current BibTeX database for networks can be used when writing a paper/thesis on this topic.
