Downtown Centre
The Shannon Consortium Downtown Centre is a partnership initiative between the University of Limerick, Limerick Institute of Technology, Mary Immaculate College and the Institute of Technology, Tralee. The Downtown Centre provides services and programmes which are designed to encourage and support adult learners in accessing higher education.
The Downtown Centre provides an Educational Guidance Service for anyone aged 18 years or over. The service is free, confidential, independent, friendly and local and assists clients to identify their higher education learning choices and goals. The Certificate in General Studies, delivered through the Downtown Centre, offers direct entry onto designated undergraduate programmes in each of the Shannon Consortium partner institutions. The Shannon Consortium Downtown Centre is located on the 2nd Floor, at the Limerick Diocesan Pastoral Centre, St Michael's Courtyard, Denmark Street, Limerick City. The entrance is through St Michael's Courtyard and Church which are directly opposite The Cuckoo's Nest pub on Denmark Street. Click Here to view the map on the Downtown Centre website.
