The Department of Lifelong Learning and Outreach, University of Limerick, Ireland and the Centre for Community and Lifelong Learning at the University of Wales, Newport are hosting a second international conference discussing the role and links between higher education and community regeneration and social disadvantage, from the 2nd-4th June 2010.
The conference will present an international comparative dimension and will focus on the transformational potential of learning, both for those living within, as well as outside of regeneration communities. The 3 key themes are:
- 1. Social and Economic Impact
- 2. Policies and procedures
- 3. Community Learning and Engagement
All are welcome - community groups and representatives, members of the public, practitioners, policy makers and academics.
