MARY IMMACULATE 0-11


A LAST quarter scoring burst, crowned by goals from Fergal Healy and sub Ken O'Shea, sent University of Limerick into the next round at the UL Grounds. Inspired by Kilkenny U21 player Jim Coogan, the winners raced into a five-point lead before Mary's scored. At the half way stage, it was 0-12 to 0-6 in UL's favour.
UL came under pressure from the Mark Foley-led losers in the second half but UL found their rhythm and, in addition to their goals, had a series of points.
