UL GAA Bursaries & Scholarships
Every year UL GAA Club offers members the chance to apply for student bursaries & scholarships. These can be approx €500 or more and they are awarded to students for their level of involvement in UL GAA Club, both on and off the pitch.

Please note...
Applicants for bursaries must fulfil the following criteria to be considered:
Be a member of a GAA Club unit in one of the six Munster counties, either in a player or administrative department.
Be a first year third level student.
Attend a Third Level College within the province of Munster.
Must become a member of the relevant college GAA Club Committee and carry out designated duties.
Must be available to play for college teams if required.
Must abide (at all times) by the Third Level College & GAA Club codes.
Each bursary will be held for one year subject to the applicant meeting the conditions above.
The Bursary is for the duration of the Applicants Primary Course, subject to the applicant reapplying at the end of each relevant academic year, passing examinations and fulfilling the conditions above.
Progress of applicants for the first two months in the College will be monitored and this will have a bearing on the award of the bursary.
Comhairle Mumhan reserves the right to alter the value of bursaries being awarded each year.
The Bursary will be paid in two instalments in December and April of each academic year subject to satisfactory performance by the applicant.
Please note that application forms should only be submitted to the College GAA Games Promotion Officer when the student has accepted a place in a Third Level College in the Province of Munster.
Bursary Applications will be reviewed by a panel comprised of representatives of Comhairle Mumhan and the College GAA/Sports and Management staff. The views of Third Level College GAA Club Officers and Games Development Personnel will be sought prior to finalising the selection of the successful students.
Responsibility for awarding bursaries rests with the Review and Selection Panel. Their decision shall be final and binding and there will be no recourse to any arbitration by an unsuccessful applicant.
